You will also presumably have to provide credit card details. Aldiko is a robust eBook reading app for the Android platform. It has a plethora of features, even though some of the best ones such as the option to look through the contents of a book are buried deep within menus. The Aldiko Online Catalog is also a nice touch. Considering the app is completely free, it is highly recommended if you like to read on the move. I see a folder on my tablet that says 'ebooks' which there is nothing in of course. I also see a book that I downloaded in 'my downloads' on my Windows Vista computer. How do I get that book on my computer over to my tablet?
I need instructions that are very basic since I have no idea what I'm doing. Thanks for the patience. New version released and first post has been updated with the details. Originally Posted by kennyc. New version released and first post updated with the details.
Bug fix version released, first post updated. New beta attached to first post. App no longer requires a rooted device. Thanks so much for getting a version that doesn't require root.
Once it syncs, head on over to your Android device. Once the book finishes downloading, switch over to Aldiko. From here you should see a button for SD card. You won't get the import button until you have the file selection. My guess is that you're not getting to the right spot where they are. As soon as I open the folder where I have importable content, there's a tick box on the right that lets me select any or all of them. Once I select the first one, I get a caption at the top that says Unselect All and another that says Import.

I'm having issues with importing my existing ebooks from the computer to the tablet. The Aldiko store has a lousy collection of books, so I'm trying to import my existing epub books. After hours of hit or miss attempts, I decided to go to the Coby support site. Make sure your ePub file ends with. Connect the tablet to your computer with the USB cable. Pull down the status bar of your tablet and then click on USB connected.
Now go to your computer, you will be either able to see all files in the Removable disk E already or there will be option for you to open folder to view files. Look for eBooks folder and open it.
